Charles had a job interview in Virginia which was paid for by the company so we decided that the entire family would go down and we would stop in D.C.
We got to visit Lincoln. We tried to educate the kids on all of the things we saw, but most probably didn't stick.
Here we are on the top of the Lincoln Memorial steps with the Washington Monument behind us.
The clouds looked pretty ominous, but we stayed dry.
We each got a photo of where we hail from at the National WW II Memorial.
We tried to touch the top of the Washington Monument.
We enjoyed seeing the White House from a great distance away.
The kids were all super happy to all share the stroller together. We kept pushing the idea that when they are happy we get to do fun things. It pretty well worked on the trip.

Since the company would pay for Charles' food we hit restaurants that had "kids eat free" nights so we didn't have to pay for them. While waiting for our food at Applebee's we saw that Elizabeth has amazing dexterity with her crayon usage.
We visited the estate of our first US President. It was beautiful and the kids had a lot of fun.
Charles asked if Mt. Vernon was for sale. It is not. Oh well.
