Biff is TWO!

Elizabeth, or how she calls herself, "Biff" is now two years old!  She is such a fun and loving little girl.  And we love having her in our family.

She loves being with her brothers and playing with them.

She loves being with her grandparents and going on adventures with them.

Eliza likes to do things that everyone else loves to do.  She often says, "Me.  No, me!" or "Biff, no Biff!"

She loves to take care of her dog, Cookie.  He goes everywhere with her and often if we aren't careful she will sneak him out to the car and on errands or to church.

Speaking of her loving her dog, she likes being one herself.  She has holes in the knees of her pants from being a dog so often.

Lizzy also loves it when she gets new, used clothes from her older female cousins, especially if it is yellow which is her favorite color.  The distinct and obvious order of her favorite colors are yellow, pink, yellow, purple, yellow, and blue.

Dressing up in grandma's dress up clothes is always a highlight of the day.  She will often insist on wearing the pretty things for most of the day.

We love our sweet Elizabeth and the wonderful smiles she brings to our home!

March Extravaganza

Here is what we have done lately:

The Provo City Center Temple was dedicated on Palm Sunday which was quite amazing since we do the Hosanna Shout for a temple dedication and the Hosanna Shout happened on Palm Sunday when Christ rode into Jerusalem.

Charlie and Mommy built this awesome tower

The kids set up a fort under the ping pong table.

We got some American flags from Great G&G Tomas and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I always like to try these photos, but usually they never turn out.  This is the best we have ever had.

With it being warm Charlie has been riding his bike.  Our determined Eliza climbed up onto it when he wasn't looking.

Charles and Annette took an impromptu trip to Vegas so Charles could talk to some of his company's customers, a tattoo shop and a brewing company.  Vegas does have some amazing lights when driving in.

Charlie worked on his nudity.

And taught his siblings.

The kids fed themselves fruit and cereal one day for dinner when they were too hungry to wait for me to cook anything.

My sister and her kids came down from Idaho for their Spring break.  We went on a fun walk up the Nebo Canyon.

It was still a little snowy in some areas.

We found a great place to eat lunch.

I was the donkey that got to haul Lizzy all the way up and back.  Hee-haw.

Elizabeth got super sick with RSV that turned into pneumonia.

It lasted for about a week, three of those days were in the hospital.

She refused to eat and drink and only with modern medicine did she recover.

Without modern medicine she probably would have died.

To encourage her to eat once she started getting better Annette took photos of her and then showed them to her.

Annette also had to pretend to feed her dog.

She was pretty pathetic looking coming home, but we were anxious to get home and help Charlie and Henry who were also sick at home.

On Easter we stayed home from church since they were all still hacking up a lung and we really didn't want to spread it more than we already had.

Modern medicine has now saved the life of two of my three children, and oh how I am grateful for it.

Elizabeth's Hair

I loved having my hair done all pretty as a little girl (and still do) and Elizabeth enjoys having her hair done as well.  She always sits so still.  Loves to show Daddy or Grandma.  And occasionally sits for a photo of the hair.

It has taken a long time to grow this much hair.

Her hair is so straight that to get any curl I have to curl it, like in her bangs and tail.

This one took forever, but it was so worth it.

Her curls may seem a bit stiff, but by midday they are quite soft, and by the end of the day you can hardly tell her hair was curled.

February Catch Up

Most know already, but Henry got glasses!

We have enjoyed the beautiful fog we had for a few days and the ice on the trees.

The kids were sick for a while.  I love it when they take naps during the day!

Valentine's was very exciting!

Charles got me the perfect gift for Valentine's!

We went to the Museum of Art at BYU to see the Norman Rockwell collection.  They had this beautiful display of strings in their front lobby while we were there.

We tried taking a picture of the kids all together and it failed.

Elizabeth may not just love dolls, but she sure does treat her dog like a baby.

Charlie built this amazing tower out of Jenga blocks.

Henry looks like he is getting his PhD already.

The boys built an awesome fort under the deck.  Charlie wanted me to take some action photos and not just standing still smiling.

The kids loved the warm weather on Saturday
